From 1 July 2026 the superannuation contribution caps step up with indexation. Planning around the change can let you contribute more, tax-effectively.

Cap2025–262026–27
Concessional$30,000$32,500
Non-concessional$120,000$130,000
Bring-forward (3 yrs)$360,000$390,000

What to do about it

If you're planning a large non-concessional contribution, waiting until after 1 July 2026 (or timing a bring-forward trigger) could let you put in more. For concessional contributions, the higher $32,500 cap means a little more salary-sacrifice room.
